New poem: "Exploring"

 Exploring

I can't remember

When it began

Wandering and wondering

Across the land

Many early memories

Are me, exploring the woods

Meandering along creeks

As every kid should

Through cornfields and wheat fields

On a bike, through city streets

I explored each new town

Seeking kid-sized treasures and treats

One place led to another

A peripheral glimmer, then full stare

Always asking the same question

I wonder what's over there?
